• They come from all over to world to find a miracle. Buses pull up everyday carrying people, some healthy, some here to help loved ones, some very ill. Many Brazilians and other South Americans, of course, and increasingly they are come from America, England, Ireland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Greece , Australia, New Zealand, and Germany. A few are from Asia. Why are they in Abadiania, a small Brazilian town 1.5 hours from Brasilia (the capital of Brazil)?

They have come to see “João de Deus” (John of God) the “miracle man of Brazil”. He has been healing people for 45 years; starting when he was 16 years old. Twenty eight years ago he founded his “spiritual hospital”, the Casa de Dom Inacio (The House of St Ignacius) in the small town of Abadiania, Brazil. Joao has been healing hundreds to thousands of people a day, every Wed, Thursday, and Friday.

In 2005, the ABC television network show, Primetime Live, devoted an hour to the Casa and John of God.. Documentaries on Joao have also been shown on the Discovery Channel, Irish TV and elsewhere.

In 1991 he a Peruvian medal of honor for the work he did with the president of Peru, his son, and 20,000 other Peruvians.

I have been to the Casa 6 times-each time for 4-5 weeks. This blog will be useful for people who are new to the Casa, and for people who have been in “the bubble” and want to share their insights, experiences, and practical tips. Abadainia is a magical place, where spiritual growth is easily enhanced, and where many people claim to have experienced miracles
