December and January are in the rainy system.
I love it in Abadiania in the rainy season.. Everything is very green (in the dry season, it is brown and a bit dusty)… And the rain gives a break in the heat.
When it isn’t raining, in can be hot out in the sun, and hot at night. This year it is unusually cool. Most nights I have needed to have something on that is slightly warm to warm. Very unusual, but very pleasant. Since the weather has been unusual all over the world, its hard to know if that will be normal.
Also lots of fireflies in some of the fields.
Other years, it was a lot warmer at night, sometimes too warm enough that you would want/need a fan (not all of the pousadas and rental houses supple fans for their guests). And a hat is a must if you are walking around much on the sunny days, the sun can be intense.
